The last nine holes at Augusta are the most famous in the world. In 1988 the 18th hole witnessed Sandy Lyle's famous win - the first British player ever to take the title. Having hit his tee shot into the bunker - 150yd (136m) from the hole -Lyle had to get down in 3 more to tie, 2 to win. With his 7 iron, he hit the ball to within 12ft (3.5m) of the hole and then managed the straight putt to win the Masters.
Jack Nicklaus has donned the green jacket an amazing six times. His last triumph was in 1986. In spite of stiff competition from players like Langer, Ballesteros and Norman, Nicklaus played better with each round. He won the title at the age of 46 - the oldest Masters winner to date.
The US Masters has worldwide TV coverage. In Britain it's of special significance - it heralds spring and the start of a new golf season in the UK.
