The two nines are quite distinctive. Wetlands, protected by law, dominate the outward half whereas much of the inward half is played along the Atlantic shore.

The sea is to the golfer's right on the stretch of holes from the 14th to the 18th and from most tees the sound is of waves breaking just behind you. The finishing holes are outstanding, containing two long par 3s, one monstrous par 5 and two long par 4s.

The Ocean Course is the nearest an American golfer can get to playing a British-style links without leaving his own country. As it matures, it promises to be a wonderful test of golf and will surely be recognized as one of the best golf courses in North America within a few years.
